Healthy recipes: quinoa squares without sugar

Making bars or squares yourself has two advantages. You always have a sugar-free snack on hand when your stomach growls again and you know that you are doing something good for yourself and your body when you reach for the quinoa muesli bars. So, let’s go…

ingredients

  • 200 g quinoa
  • 150 g oatmeal
  • 125 g cashew nuts
  • 100 g skinless almonds
  • 75 g desiccated coconut
  • 80 g of flaxseed
  • 2 tbsp xylitol
  • 3 tbsp rice syrup
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil

Step 1
Roast the quinoa and oatmeal in a pan without fat over medium heat until golden brown, remove and let cool. Finely chop cashew nuts and almonds and place in a bowl with desiccated coconut and flax seeds and mix well. Add the quinoa and oatmeal.

In a saucepan, simmer rice syrup, 2 tablespoons of water, 1 pinch of sea salt, peanut cream and coconut oil over medium heat until everything is completely dissolved. Mix the liquid with the dry ingredients.

Place the mixture in a square springform pan (24 x 24 cm) lined with baking paper, bake in a preheated oven (fan oven: 150 ° C) for about 30 minutes. Take the mold out of the oven and let it cool down. Remove the cake from the mold and cut into pieces of the same size.
